Anyone own a bubbler? Water serves a lot of functionality when it comes to smoking marijuana. Bubblers are kinda like a normal hand pipe except they have at least one chamber for water, and one down-stem from the bowl so the smoke passes through the water. This helps cool the smoke, and helps keep chunks of burning plant matter from flying into your throat and lungs. Bubblers can have many down-stem to water chamber combos. Grasscity has single and double bubblers, but some shops carry triple and even quadruple bubblers. If the water chamber is off to the side a bit it takes on the obvious name of sidecar bubbler. Some bubblers, deemed hammer style, are straight inline with the mouth piece. Some bubblers stand more upright on the water chamber and are called sherlock bubblers. No matter the shape they all still serve the same purpose. Down-stems can come in a couple variations as well. Standard is a simple glass tube, and a diffuser has a number of holes in the water end of the tube so as to break the smoke up more as it goes through the water. I hope this information proves useful when selecting a bubbler. Make sure to check out Grasscity for a large array of bubblers and other pipes.
